St. Vincent de Paul

Star of the Sea Conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul was aggregated in 1963, lapsed for a few years and was revitalized in 1985. Since then a group of faithful members has met regularly to consider how best to help the needy.

Activities include: visiting the needy in their homes when they request help and bringing them food vouchers for fresh produce and groceries. Assistance is often requested for hydro and gas bills and in obtaining much needed furniture and appliances. This financial help is given by our volunteers because of the overwhelming generosity of parishioners who use our Poor Boxes or participate through Loaves and Fishes.
