Children’s Liturgy
Children’s Liturgy typically runs during the school year (Sept – Jun). Young children are called to hear the Word of God in terms that they can more easily understand. As their parents and older siblings attend the 11:00am Sunday Mass in the church proper, these children are led to the Church Hall to hear and talk about the Gospel story and do activities related to the day’s readings. The session usually starts with an opening prayer, followed by the Gospel reading and animated video, followed by a deep dive discussion. Students will receive points for each class they attend and can redeem points for prizes* once enough points have been accumulated. During Advent, the Children’s Liturgy activity is replaced with choir practice to prepare for the Children’s Liturgy performance at Christmas Eve Mass (Dec 24th, 5pm). Children ages 5 to12 are welcome to join at any time of the year.
